President John Dramani Mahama today hosted the University for Development Studies (UDS) football team at Jubilee House, following their historic victory at the 2025 FISU World University Games.

The visit celebrated UDS’s remarkable achievement on the global stage, marking a proud moment for Ghanaian sports and tertiary education.

President Mahama praised the team for their dedication, discipline, and national pride, and encouraged continued investment in youth and sports development.

Following this feat, President John Dramani Mahama  honored the University for Development Studies (UDS) with a GH¢500,000 prize.

UDS secured the title by defeating the defending champions, Paulista University of Brazil, 2-1 in extra time a thrilling finale that captured the attention of sports fans across the continent.
